About our charter trips
Captain Steve charters out
of the World Wide Sportsman Marina in Islamorada Florida. His boat The
Family Vacation is new 22-foot shallow water Pathfinder powered by a 150 HP,
four-stroke Yamaha outboard motor and a Motor Guide Great Whit electric
trolling motor with 82 pounds of thrust for shallow water fishing. The boat
will accommodate a maxim of four passengers; however, depending on the type
of fishing fewer anglers may be preferable.
Families, beginners and advanced anglers are all welcome. If you are a
novice, Captain Steve is a patient, knowledgeable teacher who will provide
you with the necessary instruction to give you the confidence and skill to
make your trip a day to remember. If you are an experienced fisherman he
will use his experience and knowledge of our local waters to put you on the
fish you are seeking. |
| You can book a charter for a full eight-hour day or a four-hour half-day.
You can fish, just enjoy the scenery or both. Four-hour evening trips are
also available for Tarpon fishing and Sunset viewing. It should be noted
that Captain Steve’s boat is slightly larger then the average backcountry
skiff, which allows up to four angles to share, costs instead to having to
book two smaller skiffs
The charter fee includes licenses, tackle, bait, and
ice. |

The angler(s)
are responsible for their food, drink and personal items, such as Polaroid sunglasses, sun
block and protective clothing. If you have a favorite spinning or fly rod you are welcome
to bring it along.
